ALTERNATIVE REVIEW:ITZY-Voltage (Single. 2022)

Hi Everyone, I’m Rick, and that’s the new ITZY single Voltage.

ITZY is a K-POP girl band, like most, it was formed in Seoul in 2019, they have a, in my opinion, not very unique style, mostly having the same loud, abrasive, BLACKPINK-ish “bad girl” image and sound, that, as i said, is not very unique, but i won’t say that they’re particularly bad, most of their songs have really great choruses (unlike BLACKPINK), and they have a great sense of melody, pretty songs like “WANNABE” show that very well. Honestly, I'm not a big fan, but I can't say that they’re not a talented group.

This new single/EP is also pretty good in general, it’s in japanese and made for japanese audiences, it has a great pop rock instrumental and a nice high energy atmosphere, the chorus is pretty good, as i said before, they have great choruses and this one is one of these, the vocals are pretty okay as well, the one i liked the most was Ryujin, i found her voice really nice and it really fit with the song, the one i liked the least was Yeji, because she barely does anything in this song, so i can’t even perceive her, she do more on the B-side, but still, i didn’t like her much. The production is also pretty fine, there’s not much to say, it’s very normal K-Pop production, there’s nothing much to say about it, the main problem for me are the lyrics, that in my opinion are really shallow, weak “bad girl” lyrics, it’s identical to every single K-Pop girl group lyrics i have listened since now, it’s not very good, but overall it doesn’t made the song bad, but it does make the song less great.

I also like the B-Side “Spice”, it’s very catchy, has a pretty good chorus, and i like the vocal work in this song, but i cannot understate how much the beat of the track is really weird for me, because it really sounds a little too much like a beat a white pop trapper with tattoos in his face, and with the voice so full of autotune that it can be barely recognizable as a human voice would rap about drinking lean and eating pussy. Also the lyrics are still kinda corny and silly but still a pretty decent track overall.

Voltage is a pretty fine Single, both the song and the B-side are very catchy songs, with good vocal performances and have pretty good choruses, the meh lyrics and overall samey production makes this not as good as it could be, but still a very nice single, by all means, i give this a…

Resurrection Day 2022 (published 4 days after easter).

EASTER. HOW COOL THAT IS, JESUS IS ALIVE AGAIN NOW. HEAVEN YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, I love Easter, it’s full of happiness, and candies, and overpriced giant brazilian chocolate eggs, it’s absolute awesome, and Easter, being a holiday that represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it’s also a holiday that for me represents “renewal”, so today, in this very holy holiday, i’m going to listen to 5 albuns, that i already have an opinion, with the exception of one, and say what i think of them now, enough with that introduction, let’s go. GUIDED BY VOICES-ALIEN LANES (1995) ORIGINAL SCORE:N/A NEW SCORE: 7.5 I own this album, like, really, I have this album on CD, it was given to me by my sister’s boyfriend almost 2 years ago, and honestly, i’m kinda obsessed with it. And for a good reason, this album is an absolute classic of Lo-Fi Rock, and it’s full to the brim of absolutely amazing tracks, “Watch Me Jumpstart”, “My Valuable Hunting Knife”, “Blimps Go 90”, “My Son Cool”, “Game...

REVIEW:Japanese Breakfast-Sable (2021)

Hi everyone, I’m Rick, and that’s the new Japanese Breakfast album Sable. Korean-American band/solo artist Japanese Breakfast is back. 3 months after the release of their 3rd album, the successful Jubilee , Michelle Zauner and pals are back, now with the soundtrack of the brand new exploration game Sable . Being their first (and knowing most artists, probably last) soundtrack for anything ever. I Admit, when i first saw this album on the upcoming box on RYM, i didn’t have much faith about it, i wasn’t hyped about Sable , in fact, i didn’t even knew it was coming up, i never heard of this game before, i spend the time before reviewing it looking at trailers of the game, and seeing if it worked on my PC on maximum required (it doesn’t), i haven’t played the game, but HOLY FUCK! IF IT DOESN’T LOOKS GORGEOUS. I got very interested in the cel-shaded graphics that look absolutely amazing, as does the promotional cover, the game looks pretty fun as a casual exploration game, looking at images...

REVIEW: Gacharic Spin-Gold Dash (2020)

Ok.
